In recent years, El Salvador has had one of the highest violence rates in the world. Violence destroys communities, limits economic development and increases illegal migration.
For more than 34,000 youth like Kike, Outreach Centers become a second home that helps break the cycle of violence and build safer communities.
Together with local governments, community leaders and private companies, USAID helps create alternatives and new opportunities for Salvadoran youth here at home.
