What do the logos of some of the popular car manufacturing companies such as BMW and Audi mean? Let's review 5 interesting facts about car logos that you probably did not know!

1- Audi: The four rings represent the four companies that were part of the Auto-Union Consortium in 1932: DKW, Horch, Wanderer and Audi.

2- BMW logo stems from the fact that BMW was first an airplane engine builder, then motorcycle and finally automobile manufacturer.

3- The Mercedes Benz design signifies the engines produced by Mercedes-Benz were suitable for land, sea and sky use. The star in three corners represents the Mercedes-Benz dominance on land, sea and air.

4- Mitsubishi Logo refers to a group of six stars of Taurus constellation, and known in Japanese as "mutsuraboshi.

5- The Chevrolet's bowtie is thought to be inspired by several things; a wallpaper design first seen by Durant in France, a stylized Swiss cross in honour of Chevrolet's parents or a copy of the logo for "Coalettes," a powerful but small coal product of the time.
