Did you know that between 7 to 10% of men are "color blind"? Let's find out if you might be one of them!
If under normal lighting conditions, you cannot differentiate between certain colors, then you are probably color blind. The most common type of color blindness is when your vision has reduced sensitivity to the green color. If you have this type of color blindness, distinguishing red and green colors can be difficult for you.
If you are color-blind, you might not be able to work in certain industries, for example, to mix paint or to operate devices in response to a color-coded signal. Some countries such as Romania also refuse to grant driving licenses to individuals with color blindness.
The Ishihara color test can help you find out if you are red-green color-blind. It consists of a series of pictures of color spots. A number or a shape is embedded as a series of spots within other spots that have a slightly different color. A person with a normal vision can see one number, whereas a color-blind person, cannot see it or sees a different number.
We have included 3 examples from the test here to get you an idea if you are color blind. Look at each image for 3 seconds and see if you can find the number shown on your screen.
