1- In Japan, it is a tradition for many Japanese to eat Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) for Christmas dinner! Having KFC for Christmas is so popular that customers might need to place their Christmas orders couple of months in advance to get them!
2- In Ireland, many people leave out "Guinness" beer as snack for Santa on Christmas Eve !
3- In Ukraine, people usually hide a "fake spider" and "spider web" in their Christmas tree! They believe anyone who finds it , will have "good luck". The root of this tradition is a folk tale about a poor widow who didn't have enough money to decorate her Christmas tree. One Christmas morning, she finds her Christmas tree covered by a spider web, made from Silver and Gold!
4- A Norwegian legend says that on Christmas Eve, witches and bad spirits come and look for brooms in your home (so that they can ride on them). Therefore, it is tradition in Norway to hide brooms. Some men might also go out and fire a shotgun to scare away the witches and Evil spirits!
5- in Peru, many villagers save up all their feelings of resentment or injustice throughout the year. Instead, they have one massive public fight on Christmas Day!

The people of Oslo, Norway donate the Trafalgar Square Christmas tree every year in gratitude to the people of London for assistance during WWII.
